Coaching

Through coaching, I help other auties and NDs build a more authentic and sustainable life. Each coaching plan is tailored to your unique interests and needs. I provide support, guidance, and expertise to help you expand, adjust, and reach your personal or professional goals. (I'm also here to help you pause and celebrate your accomplishments!) No matter where you are on your journey, let me help you maximize the payoff from your efforts.

What happens in a session?

Each session is tailored to your needs. Whether you want a video call, a live-chat, or other type of support, the session is all about you.

What do we talk about?

Whatever you want! The sessions are guided by your Coach, but the topics are based on your goals and objectives.

Is coaching right for me?

Each person seeks out coaching for unique reasons. Let me help you determine if Coaching is the right fit for you.

Anatomy of a coaching session

Every session is tailored to individual needs. To facilitate coaching sessions, I may:

  • Ask questions meant to help you dive deeper into your inner world.

  • Give you a place to externally process and explore what being autistic means to you.

  • Share my personal and professional experiences and insight.

  • Help you set and prioritize achievable and sustainable goals.

  • Be a mirror to help you notice when you are sabotaging your own burnout recovery (it happens to all of us!)

By default, sessions are video calls. However, many of my clients choose alternative session formats, such as voice calls, live texting sessions, emails, or having me work on support tasks for them!

Don't worry about guiding the conversations we have- I'm always here to guide the session in ways that work best for you.

Topics of Conversation

There are not many limits when it comes to what we can discuss in coaching- it's based on your needs and comfort zone. The majority of my clients start coaching in some stage of autistic burnout, so this is a frequent topic. However, burnout occurs for many different reasons and is unique to each individual.

Some topics frequently covered in coaching:

  • Masking

  • Navigating diagnosis

  • Employment

  • Interpersonal relationships

  • Accommodations

  • Autistic burnout

  • Meltdowns

  • Sensory processing needs

  • Executive dysfunction

  • Setting healthy goals

Is coaching right for you?

Due to years (if not decades) of masking and over-extending ourselves, many auties will at some point find themselves in autistic burnout. For many, this burnout is what leads them to their autism diagnosis in the first place.

There are many ways to navigate burnout recovery. Often therapists, psychiatrists, family, and friends will play a part in this process. (They did for me!)

Coaching is a tool many aren't aware of, but one that can fit into the gap between licensed mental health professionals and loved ones.

As a coach, I don't treat or diagnose any mental health condition. I'm not a replacement for a therapist (many of my clients have a therapist in addition to working with me). I can, however, use my educational and professional experiences in the field of behavior and psychology in conjunction with my lived experience as a late-diagnosed autie to provide a unique type of support.

I help clients with all aspects of their lives, but many clients start with me when they find themselves in autistic burnout and are seeking guidance to navigate recovery. To help clients build a more sustainable life, we often discuss topics like relationships, work, trauma, and perfectionism.

I help clients build up their own internal voice and navigate support options regardless of diagnosis.

Getting Started
  1. Schedule your complimentary 30-minute info call with me to review your situation and needs. During this call, you can ask any questions you may have, and I will describe the coaching options and how to proceed. (By default, this is a video-call, but if you would rather have a voice-call, live-chat, or email exchange, just let me know!)

  2. Select a Coaching Plan. Most choose to sign up for a coaching subscription. These plans are auto-billed monthly and come with a specified number of coaching sessions per month. A significant benefit to the subscription is the discounted rate for your sessions. However, you can skip the subscription and schedule individual coaching calls at full price, as needed.

  3. Schedule your first coaching session! If you've selected a Coaching subscription, you will get scheduling information upon signing up. (If skipping the subscription, you schedule your session at the time of payment.)
